christmas this year was a lot of fun! we continued a few traditions from last year and added a couple new ones. we loved reading our Bible story every evening from our christmas countdown calendar as well as reading from the advent storybook every night before bed. we also did quite a few crafts for school that were all about jesus and his birth (mommy will try to post soon), decorated our own house inside and out, baked yummy goodies, picked out new ornaments for this year (a monster truck for owen, plane for evie, pregnant belly for mommy, and a dad fishing with his son for daddy), drove around and looked at lights (pajama run!), and went to zoo lights.
we also spent almost a week in albuquerque with gampa and grammie for christmas. then it turned into another few days due to weather...we opted to skip the snow and far below freezing temps back home! we had a blast! we went to family christmas eve communion, drove around and look at lights, opened presents and stockings, and even skyped with our cousins in tennessee! it's always so much fun to celebrate the holidays with family.

everett and i made gifts for each other. i picked out and made a
car kit from lowes to give evie...with the help of daddy |

little games, mini animals, toothbrushes and holders,
and our favorite gummy candies! |

a new tradition this year was celebrating Jesus' birthday on
christmas night. we sang songs, lit candles, ate cake, and picked
out gifts for him from our charity gift catalogs - safe
playgrounds (owen), chickens (everett), and
clothing for families in need (mommy and daddy) |
