uppa and umma drove up from texas to visit for a few days and to help celebrate owen's birthday. we got to go out for yummy bagels, went to the garden center, went golfing and spent a lot of time playing outside. thanks for visiting uppa and umma. we love you and miss you already.

daddy took me out to use the new golf clubs i got for my birthday. it was so great to finally get to use a real set of clubs that were just my size. it was so cool to get to hit real golf balls and watch them fly.

today i turned 4-years-old! mommy and daddy covered my bedroom door with streamers to welcome me when i woke up this morning. i got to choose what I wanted to eat for my special birthday breakfast...birthday pancakes complete with a yummy toppings and whipped cream! A perfect way to start my special day. Shortly after breakfast, umma and uppa finally arrived all the way from texas! so awesome to get to spend my special day with them. then I opened gifts and played with them the rest of the day. i also got to choose what to have for dinner...homemade mac 'n cheese with carrots and sugar snap peas (yes, i'd be a happy vegetarian!). for my birthday treat, i went with ice cream cupcakes...yummy! i had a fantastic time, got lots of fun gifts, and celebrated the entire day.

grammie helped us plant a few roses, herbs and vegetables while she was here. we are now seeing the fruits of our hard work...and even got to eat a cucumber. we can't wait to eat the organic tomatoes and bell peppers and top our food with all the yummy herbs.

church fun

i completed my first vacation bible school event and the best part was that mommy helped on the decorating committee and also did the pre-k bible study sessions. she did great! our church did a big party following service on sunday full of blow-up slides, water slides, bounce houses and lots of yummy food. i even got to get on stage with the other kids and sing some vacation bible school songs for the church. we had so much fun.
