the third week of september continued our god's little explorers preschool unit at home. this week our theme was "g" is for garden and our journey through the bible continued with the story of creation and adam & eve in the garden. we also did a little bit with squares as our shape of the week.

here are highlights of some of our activities:

the boys each created their own "my book of creation". each day,
they did two pages of the book, each page corresponding with
one day in creation: day & night; water & sky; land, plants & trees;
sun, moon & stars; birds & fish; animals & people.
the boys loved this project and have the cutest
completed books to put in their treasure boxes!!

at the beginning of the week, we took a few seeds - poppies,
beans, and oranges - and wrapped them in wet paper towels,
put them in baggies, and placed them in a cool, dark place.
at the end of the week, we took out our bags and were able to
explore the roots and stems that had grown from each seed.
the boys were fascinated!
